Huntertales is no longer a secret concept and has shared its vision for a new on-chain strategy game centered around player cooperation and discovery. The team sees it as the progression of financialised on-chain gaming; that way, it combines world-building, community strategy, and player-driven outcomes.
The Story of Huntertales
In Year 649, Sylvaris stands on the brink of ruin. Centuries of exploitation have drained its natural resources. To save the kingdom, the Crown begins the Great Cleansing. Explorers are sent to the Dark Continent to gather its mysterious energy.
Players are Pioneers who have been elected by the Crown to lead the expansion of Sylvaris. They build settlements and hire Hunters to battle for land.
During their struggle, they uncover the Crown’s war of lies and fight to survive.

What’s Broken in GameFi
The dev team figured out why the majority of on-chain games have a hard time engaging their audiences after the first wave of hype. The developers of Wolf Game and DeFi Kingdoms have relied on the method of continuous new inflows to keep rewards sustainable.
Huntertales has a radically different idea. It abolishes the conventional fixed house-edge models in favor of a coordination risk, which means that the success of players will depend on their joint decision-making and ability to come up with new strategies.
How Gameplay Works
Each player controls a Settlement, which serves as the foundation of their power and influence. Recruiting Hunters through a weighted gacha system strengthens settlements and unlocks higher-tier missions.
Hunters possess attributes like Power, Luck, and Speed, with rarity affecting performance and scaling. Players deploy them across the Campaign Map, choosing sectors to defend or conquer based on evolving world conditions.

The Pioneers Program
Before the main launch, Huntertales introduced the Pioneers Program, a pre-season event for early community members. Participants earn Crown Credits (CC) by referring players, upgrading settlements, and unlocking points of interest.
These credits determine leaderboard ranks that classify players as Heroes, Pioneers, or Recruits. Top participants will later convert their earnings into on-chain rewards once the full version launches.

What Comes Next
Huntertales will reveal its Hunter classes and additional gameplay features in November 2025. Future updates will also explain in more detail how the theme of settlements, seasons, and territory control changes from one campaign to another.
The team hasn’t yet decided which blockchain will serve as the game’s platform. But, as it stands, the innovative approach to GameFi that is mainly about a collective strategy seems to have attracted a lot of people.
