Calamity has officially concluded its Guild System Playtest, giving guilds and scholars a chance to test the game’s new social and economic system.
During the event, 93 guilds, 287 scholars, and over 48,000 RON were deposited. Marking one of the project’s most active playtests yet. Guilds competed for leaderboard rewards, treasury yields, and exclusive in-game prizes.
How the Guild System Works
The Guild System allows players to form teams where each guild can have up to 75 members. Guilds are headed by sponsors or leaders who oversee the guild treasury. These treasuries receive funds through deposits that are later utilized to provide support to members and finance in-game activities.
Various leaderboards monitor the performance of the guild network and thus, they are the instruments to reward efficiency, yield generation, and player activity.
Scholarships and Player Roles
Calamity’s Scholarship System is a shared-reward model that connects the two parties, the sponsors and the scholars.
Sponsors support scholars by providing the necessary resources in-game. Scholars turn these resources into play and profit. The earnings, therefore, are shared. Thus, sponsors get passive returns while scholars have more chances to play and get resources for free.
Such a structure establishes a viable ecosystem where not only the most active players but also the strategic ones will be able to take advantage of it.

Guild System Playtest Results
The Guild System Playtest showed strong engagement and community growth. With almost 50,000 RON deposited, Calamity recorded a 24× increase from the initial prize pool. Guilds competed fiercely on the leaderboards for 3,000,000 WYRM token rewards and tribute prizes.
While the full payout breakdown hasn’t been shared, the event proved that guild-based economies can drive consistent participation and teamwork.

What’s Next for Calamity
The team said the playtest gave valuable insights into guild coordination, reward balance, and economic flow. These will guide improvements before the next release.
Recently, Calamity also announced a collaboration with Moonfrost, allowing Frost Hunter license holders from Moonfrost to interact with Calamity’s ecosystem, which is another step toward cross-game integration within Web3 gaming.
