MapleStory Universe showed strong results for blockchain gaming. Nexpace reported 49.1 million NXPC in first-year revenue. This amount equals about $31 million. Nexpace shared these details on May 22, 2026. They announced a token buyback program on that day. Leaders also wrote a note about the next phase. MapleStory N launched on May 15, 2025. It was the first game in this project.

What Did Nexpace Report?

More than 850,000 digital wallets were used in the game this year. About two-thirds of active wallets spent tokens monthly. They reported 49.1 million NXPC in revenue. Player spending beat the given rewards by early 2026. Nexpace also launched a $10 million token buyback program. They will buy these tokens on the open market. This process will take three months. An outside partner will handle the purchases. Nexpace also burned 8.32 million tokens. These updates show strong first-year results. They also prove the team wants a healthy, long-term token supply.

Why The $31M Figure Matters?

This $31 million figure is very important. The game is not just a small test. It belongs to Nexon’s famous MapleStory brand. MapleStory N turned this world into a blockchain game. The project proves that classic games can succeed in Web3. Many blockchain games suffer from too much speculation. MapleStory provides a real example to study. Still, we must look at the data carefully.

The game had 150 million transactions and 3.8 million accounts. Around 850,000 active wallets joined the ecosystem. Character progression and item upgrades made the most money. Market fees and guild items made much less. This difference is very important. Players spent money to progress in the game. They did not just trade with others. This model makes the economy much stronger.

What Comes Next For MapleStory Universe?

Nexpace wants to build a larger network now. They call this next stage MSU 2.0. They want to expand into a whole network of games. The team plans to add new maps, classes, and skill systems. They will also introduce a new boss. Creators can use Vibe IP to build games with AI. This tool handles licensing and payments on the blockchain.

This shift could turn the game into a massive creator economy. However, Nexpace faces real risks. Creators need great tools and clear licensing rules. The project also needs a high-quality and smart economic design.

Final Takeaway

The $31 million revenue sets a high standard. The best part is how the game made money. Players are paid to play the game. They did not just trade tokens for profit. Now Nexpace must grow this base. If the new tools work, they will attract creators. The project could become a model for other classic games entering Web3. For now, the facts are clear. The game made 49.1 million tokens. This equals about $31 million. Nexpace is preparing a buyback and a new creator phase.
