Yield Guild Games launched Community Questing 2.0 Early Access, a revamped quest hub that allows players to earn XP for early play, participation, and referrals. YGG also announced a $1,000,000 buyback of $YGG, funded by LOL Land revenue, acquiring about 5.8 million $YGG tokens at roughly $0.17.
What is Community Questing 2.0?
YGG has upgraded Community Questing to 2.0, creating its new quest layer. It is an ongoing set of missions that helps players discover Web3 games, complete tasks, and accumulate XP that is valid across YGG programs. YGG also hints at guild access, leaderboards, and new programs next, plus the first 10,000 sign-ups receive bonus XP.
What Quests are live?
• Getting Started quest: Players connect their accounts, X/Twitter, Steam, and a wallet, to verify actions and credit XP.
• YGG × Pixelmon TCG quest – This quest is limited to the first 1,000 players who redeem the YGG code. The community tournament runs from August 25 to September 1 with a $4,500 prize pool for the top 15. This is an APAC exclusive launch.

The $YGG buyback
On August 25, 2025, YGG announced a $1M buyback of its $YGG token, funded by revenue from LOL Land, YGG’s casual mobile game. The posts specify ~5.87 million tokens repurchased at around $0.17 on average.
