Terrariums

Axie Infinity is preparing to launch Terrariums, a new land-based experience inside the Axie universe. It brings Axies, Land, Lunium, and bAXS into one simple system.

It is not the full 2019 Land vision yet. Instead, it starts as a lighter first version that gives Land and Axies a clearer role.

What Is Terrariums?

Terrariums are digital homes for Axies. Players can activate a land plot, place Axies inside, and let the land work over time.

The first version will focus on gamified staking. This means players will use Land and Axies to earn rewards through a simple system.

Why Does Terrariums Matter?

It gives Axies a reason to do more than sit inside a wallet. It also gives Land a stronger purpose inside the ecosystem.

This matters because Axie collections need long-term utility. Terrariums may help rare Axies, collectible Axies, and Land become more useful again.

How Will Terrariums Work?

Terrariums will run on an hourly tick system. Every hour, the game checks your land and moves the system forward.

Your land will spend Lunium and earn bAXS. This means your Terrarium can keep working even when you are offline.

What Is Lunium?

Lunium is a new off-chain resource that powers your land. You need Lunium so your land can earn bAXS.

Players can buy Lunium packs or earn free Lunium from their land. Free Lunium regenerates slowly, so paid packs may keep land running faster.

What Is bAXS?

bAXS is the reward connected to Terrariums. Players can earn it when their land stays active and consumes Lunium.

The reward system will depend on land type and Axie power. Axie may call this power Atia’s Flame in the future.

Why Are Axies Important?

Axies help increase your earning power. This means your Axie collection may affect how much value your land can produce.

This is important for collectible Axies. Rare Axies may gain stronger utility if their power gives better reward potential.

What Happens To Homeland?

Axie Infinity says Terrariums will replace Homeland when it launches. Homeland will sunset once Terrariums goes live.

This means current Land systems will move into one persistent layer. Players should expect a cleaner and more focused land experience.

When Will Terrariums Launch?

Axie Infinity said Terrariums is planned for the end of June, if everything goes as planned. The team is still finishing the UI and tutorial.

Players should remember that details can still change. Axie has made it clear that the economy is still being tested.

Final Takeaway

Terrariums look like Axie Infinity’s next serious step for Land utility. It gives Land, Axies, and rewards a clearer connection.

The first version will stay simple. Still, it may become important because it gives older Axie assets a new economic role.
